Fridays!!!!
Today's Friday and it's been very busy! Every weekend I work either morning or nights at the Carmel Home because during the week I am unable to because of school. Today as soon as I get out of school I have to go straight to work I get of at 10:30pm and then I have work Saturday and Sunday at 6:00am in the morning, so today is going to has been very busy and its just going to get more tiring! I also have has basically three math classes today which wares me out!!! First I have college algebra then I have accounting 1 and the last period I have algebra 3. So I'm completely wore out on the days that I have so much math. Most people Fridays are their most favorite for me it's the opposite. I would rather it be Monday instead so that it can be a fresh start at the beginning of the week and no work till Friday! By time Fridays get here I'm exhausted it feels like so schools almost over and I'm going to work and study this weekend and, unlike everyone else I'm looking forward to Monday :)

Valentines Day!
I had a wonderful Valentines Day!!!! My boyfriend's parents cooked us dinner and then we went to the movies to see Valentines Day and it was really a cute movie. Even though it was more of a chick flick he said that he really enjoyed the movie. After the movie we went and visited my dad and my brother. On the morning of Valentines Day I gave my mom a book called Don't Sweat the Small Stuff and she really liked it a whole lot. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our movie this year we both are trying to save money and he had movie gift cards so it really worked out perfect and I mad him a really cute card that had a cute quote written on it with candy in place for some words. It said today's Valentines Day so TAKE 5 and enjoy your day. Even though you can be a NERD I still think your a real HOT TAMALIE. Thanks for always being such a SWEETART and a JOLY RANCHER boy. With PAYDAY beeing so far away I know its CRUNCH time and not even 100 GRAND would amount to what you mean to me. Your KISSES send me to the MILKYWAY and this card has been a LIFE SAVER so if your laughing keep your SNICKERS to yourself. All the words that are in capital were the candy bars that I had glued to the poster board. He really liked it and it was a great day!
Reading!!!
I think that the reason that so many kids hate to read is because in elementary school we were forced to read for A.R points and we had to read certain books according to our reading level and sometimes it was hard to find books in your level that you like. So when kids get older they just think that they hate reading but really as I've gotten older and I'm in high school and I can read whatever I want I have learned to like it. I like to read things like fashion magazines, books with easy to read bible verses or stories, health books, and books that are inspiring such as the book I got my mom for Valentines Day "Don't Sweat The Small Stuff." I only like to ready book that have true stories or stories that could pertain to my own life and it could really happen. I really do like to read now that I get to make the decision of what I want to read. Reading really does help my vocabulary and make me smarter I do believe. Many teachers and adults have always tried to tell me this but I never believed them until i got a little older and a little more mature. Now I realize how important it is to read and how often I use reading.
Life Without Wal-Mart!
Money!!
Money is what a lot of things are revolved around. Life should not be based on money and that's not what life is all about, although many people do base most of their life around money. I believe that everything is not about money but it does make life a little bit easier if you have a good job and you work hard for your money. It cost money to do nearly everything here in Owensboro . If kids want to do something on the weekend they usually would suggest going to the movies, getting something to eat, or going shopping at the mall. All of the activities that we have hear in Owensboro cost money even things that might make your time useful cost money such as working out at a gym or getting a book from the library to read. Almost everything you do or want cost money, so most people make it their many goal in their spare time to work or earn money somehow. Money is a big part of choosing my career one day. Teachers and adults can say that you should choose what you like to do best for the rest of your life but really in reality you must choose a career that makes good money and something that you are going to enjoy because its the only way your going to get by in the world today. How can you support your family with a job that some teenagers today have and love doing. Money is a big part of life even though it should not be what life is revolved around I sometime find that it is and there's not anything anyone can do about it! You must make money to support yourself and your family to get by in the world today and that's all there is to it.

New Vehicle :)
I just got a new vehicle all on my own! I'm very excited I herd about this blazer it was my boyfriends great uncles and they are mechanics so I knew it had been taken good care of and they had all the oil changes recorded in from the past and it looked as if it had never been rode in. It was actually his great aunts and she was an older lady so it wasn't driven a whole lot. It is a 2000 and had only 55,900 miles and sold to me for only 4,000 so I got a great deal! I first tried and tried to sell my car and finally my neighbor bought my car from me for 1,000 dollars because it was old with almost 200,000 miles so then I had one thousand and I had four thousand already saved so I had plenty money. I was never aware of all the trouble that came along with getting a vehicle though. I had to go to my insurance company and get my name off of my old car and get insurance on my new blazer and pay the difference then I had to have the guy that I bought the blazer from and the girl I sold my car to come down to the courthouse so that we could get them put into the right names and get new titles to the cars issued out to us. Then I had to pay for taxes on the Blazer! I never had any clue about all the trouble it was to buy a new vehicle but everything worked out perfect because I had the money for the blazer and the thousand I got from my car was used to buy insurance, and pay taxes on the vehicle and of course I had to have money for gas for the next two weeks until I got paid again! I'm really excited to have a new vehicle though it rides a lot smoother and I love it. I have also learned a lot from the experience of doing things on my own. This week my insurance went down almost 60.00 for turning in my transcript and something stating that I had taken Drivers Ed. I was so happy to see that! So actually my insurance really didn't go up a whole lot more than before because now I have full coverage and it's hard to believe but I get pretty good gas mileage to so I'm extremely excited!!!!!!
Career Choices!!!
With this being senior year I have had many big choices that will affect my future in the long run. One of the biggest is the choice of what I want to go to school to be. For the last two years I have had my mind set on Occupational Therapy. I plan to go to USI after finishing my basic classes here at OCC. Occupation Therapy was introduced to me two years ago whenever I was a catering associate at OMHS and then now at the Carmel Home I have also got to watch and learn a little more about the occupation then I had once known. Last year as a peer tutor I was able to watch an OT work with a student every other Wednesday for about thirty minutes and it was very interesting! I really hope that all my plans follow through I'm very excited and I really love the look on patients faces when they amazingly progress so much from week to week at the Carmel Home. One day I hope to be as good as the therapists that I have been watching at Progressive they do a wonderful job and treat their patients with a ton of love and care. This is a major decision that I have to make when I graduate this year from school I would hate to go to school and take prerequisites that once pertained to my major and then decide to switch because then I would have to start over. I have though about switching my major after Obama's new Health care reform that has been passed but I struggle to know what to do because I know that I only think about Obama's bill from listening to family and friends so I've chosen to stick with my plans for now and I cant wait because its what I believe I will really love doing one day.

High school is almost over!!
Its getting close to the end of senior year! I'm really ready to get out of high school and just be a little more independent and be able to have my own schedule. What I mean by that is when I go to college this summer and next year I'm really going to enjoy scheduling my classes when they are most convenient for me. One thing that I will really miss about high school is hanging out with all of my closest friends. Most of my friends are all going to different colleges and some even out of town and with everyone's busy lifestyle we probably will find it hard to come in contact with one another. My teachers have been a big help so I plan to come back and visit them in the future and I really have appreciated all that they have taught me. I am really ready to graduate though, high school can be a little stressful dealing with the same schedule everyday and the drama that occurs mostly freshman and sophomore year but still in college I'm thinking it will be much harder to continue to make good grades but as far as getting rid of all the drama and the set schedule its going to be great!!! Only two months left to go and even though I cant wait I'm going to miss high school a little I know and most of all its all hard to believe that I will be graduating and my little brother will be in high school next yr.!
