New Vehicle :)

I just got a new vehicle all on my own! I'm very excited I herd about this blazer it was my boyfriends great uncles and they are mechanics so I knew it had been taken good care of and they had all the oil changes recorded in from the past and it looked as if it had never been rode in. It was actually his great aunts and she was an older lady so it wasn't driven a whole lot. It is a 2000 and had only 55,900 miles and sold to me for only 4,000 so I got a great deal! I first tried and tried to sell my car and finally my neighbor bought my car from me for 1,000 dollars because it was old with almost 200,000 miles so then I had one thousand and I had four thousand already saved so I had plenty money. I was never aware of all the trouble that came along with getting a vehicle though. I had to go to my insurance company and get my name off of my old car and get insurance on my new blazer and pay the difference then I had to have the guy that I bought the blazer from and the girl I sold my car to come down to the courthouse so that we could get them put into the right names and get new titles to the cars issued out to us. Then I had to pay for taxes on the Blazer! I never had any clue about all the trouble it was to buy a new vehicle but everything worked out perfect because I had the money for the blazer and the thousand I got from my car was used to buy insurance, and pay taxes on the vehicle and of course I had to have money for gas for the next two weeks until I got paid again! I'm really excited to have a new vehicle though it rides a lot smoother and I love it. I have also learned a lot from the experience of doing things on my own. This week my insurance went down almost 60.00 for turning in my transcript and something stating that I had taken Drivers Ed. I was so happy to see that! So actually my insurance really didn't go up a whole lot more than before because now I have full coverage and it's hard to believe but I get pretty good gas mileage to so I'm extremely excited!!!!!!

Career Choices!!!

With this being senior year I have had many big choices that will affect my future in the long run. One of the biggest is the choice of what I want to go to school to be. For the last two years I have had my mind set on Occupational Therapy. I plan to go to USI after finishing my basic classes here at OCC. Occupation Therapy was introduced to me two years ago whenever I was a catering associate at OMHS and then now at the Carmel Home I have also got to watch and learn a little more about the occupation then I had once known. Last year as a peer tutor I was able to watch an OT work with a student every other Wednesday for about thirty minutes and it was very interesting! I really hope that all my plans follow through I'm very excited and I really love the look on patients faces when they amazingly progress so much from week to week at the Carmel Home. One day I hope to be as good as the therapists that I have been watching at Progressive they do a wonderful job and treat their patients with a ton of love and care. This is a major decision that I have to make when I graduate this year from school I would hate to go to school and take prerequisites that once pertained to my major and then decide to switch because then I would have to start over. I have though about switching my major after Obama's new Health care reform that has been passed but I struggle to know what to do because I know that I only think about Obama's bill from listening to family and friends so I've chosen to stick with my plans for now and I cant wait because its what I believe I will really love doing one day.

High school is almost over!!

Its getting close to the end of senior year! I'm really ready to get out of high school and just be a little more independent and be able to have my own schedule. What I mean by that is when I go to college this summer and next year I'm really going to enjoy scheduling my classes when they are most convenient for me. One thing that I will really miss about high school is hanging out with all of my closest friends. Most of my friends are all going to different colleges and some even out of town and with everyone's busy lifestyle we probably will find it hard to come in contact with one another. My teachers have been a big help so I plan to come back and visit them in the future and I really have appreciated all that they have taught me. I am really ready to graduate though, high school can be a little stressful dealing with the same schedule everyday and the drama that occurs mostly freshman and sophomore year but still in college I'm thinking it will be much harder to continue to make good grades but as far as getting rid of all the drama and the set schedule its going to be great!!! Only two months left to go and even though I cant wait I'm going to miss high school a little I know and most of all its all hard to believe that I will be graduating and my little brother will be in high school next yr.!

Physical Education Class should be required!!

High school should make physical education class mandatory because with all the new technologies kids go home and sit around instead of getting any physical activity. This may even be one of the main reasons for obesity rates being so high. With all the new technologies today kids don't have to stand at the sink and wash dishes they just put them in the dishwasher, no running out to start your car on cold days they have automatic car starters, you don't have to get up and down to change the channel because of remotes, no push mowing the yard you ride, instead of kids playing kick ball outside they sit around playing video games or on the computer which is probably harming their eyes as well. High school really should start having P.E class because it would mean that more kids would get exercise and maybe more kids would feel better about themselves. I know that not everyone goes home and sits around, some play sports or stay busy at home but the majority do not. It would just be a good idea if High school would require students to have P.E class, it might really benifit us all!

How much School are we going To miss!!!!

This snow is getting out of hand and we are missing way to many days of school. It is my senior year so I guess im not as worried because after this year I wont have to go to high school anymore but I really wish we would stop missing school because I don't want to be going to school in June. I'm pretty sure that we are very close or already into June. As much as I am ready for summer I'm not ready to spend any of my summer time in school and it is going to stink being inside all day with it being so pretty outside in June. Plus I hate school in the warmer months because its absolutely freezing in school and I cant stand that it makes me feel like I'm sick or something. The bad part is a lot of time we miss school for like hardly nothing on the ground and everyone is out doing their own thing shopping, hanging out with friends, or just whatever it may be. The roads don't even seem bad and we miss school for nothing it seems like. One day last week I drove to Stanley and the roads were not even bad so I do not understand why we get out of school. My whole concern is going to school in the summer :( Well hopefully we'll be back to school tomorrow and this will be the end of snow days so that we wont have to go to school any long than we already do!!

I am So Ready For SUMMER!!!!

This past Saturday was softball sign-ups now the snow is coming down just two days after sign-ups, it just makes me so anxious for winter to be over and summer to be here! I really am getting tired of the snow. I just can not wait for sunshine, sandals, seashells at the beach, and of course soft ball! This week I also got a forty percent off coupon to American Eagle and I got a new summer dress and a new pair of shorts so I am very excited for summer to be here. I love to layout and go swimming, I haven't really been to the tanning bed in quite awhile because I'm trying not to go to the tanning bed as much since I know that it is bad for your skin but it would be a lot better if we had some sun and not so much snow so that i could at least have a little color. My most favorite thing about summer has to be playing softball I play for the county and I'm on Sorgho's team. I have been playing for the same team every since I can remember and usually it's the highlight of my summer because it keeps me busy, I make friends, and its a blast! So I'm looking forward to softball more than anything this summer.

shoes!!

Have you ever noticed all the different shoes that different types of people were everyday? Shoes can really tell a lot about someone. Shoes might show if a person likes wearing the style punk rock or if they like name brand or if they are not really very picky or maybe they like to dress up allot. Do you ever wonder why people pick the color of shoes they were, I have seen many people with all sorts of different colors of shoes like pink, lime green and even purple. Its crazy! maybe that is just the style they like or maybe they are very out going. I am very outgoing I think, but maybe not that outgoing I personally prefer the clogs that came in style when I was in the eighth grade. They are just brown and plain but they go with everything that is the reason I wear them. I used to love tennis shoes whenever I was really into sports but I don't really like them all that much anymore except for in the summer and I do play summer ball. I also don't really like to wear hills except on special occasions I'm not a big dress up girl. Even though I love prom and things like that and I do wear hills but you'll probably hardly ever catch me in hills on a school day. I like to be comfortable or else I just don't think as good at school. So shoes can tell you different things about different people and I think its very interesting to look and see all of the different shoes people wear.
